A Summer State of mind with Olivia Hobel

The summer has arrived in Copenhagen, and together with the Copenhagen model and influencer Olivia Hobel, we talk about her best summer memories, the places that inspire her, and how she'll be spending the summer vacation beyond Copenhagen.

How will you spend your summer this year

I'll be spending my summer in Denmark, taking it slow and enjoying the little things around Copenhagen. Hopefully with some countryside escapes and a few cozy trips to summer houses.

Go to summer outfit

My go to summer outfit has to match the Danish weather, you never know what the weather is going to be like so it'll probably be a pair of jeans, a cute little top, and of course a pair of ballet flats. My outfits must have to be versatile. 

Best summer memory

One of my favorite summer memories in Copenhagen is with some of my closest friends, who keep their boats in the canals of Christianshavn. We always end up with a big group of friends and partners, spend the day cruising through the canals, and sip wine in the sun. It's one of those simple summer traditions I look forward to every year.

Parterre

My mornings almost always start with a coffee from Parterre, a cozy little coffee shop just a short walk from my apartment. It's one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood, and the perfect way to ease into the day.

The Canals in Christianshavn

Today we simply sit by the canals in Christianshavn. It's a big part of the local culture here. You don't always have to sit at a café. Instead, we often grab something to go, find a spot by the water, and spend a few hours enjoying the view, catching up, and soaking up the atmosphere. Sometimes the simplest moments turn out to be the best.

Café Båden

One of my favorite eat spots to soak up the sun in Copenhagen. It gets sunshine all day and is right by the water, so it's the perfect spot for a colorful lunch with friends. And if you go, don't skip the banana cake. It's so good.

Hidden place

My best friends and I have a favorite place to be we call "Spottet," where we go swimming every summer. It's right in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen, and it's become one of our little summer traditions. There's a great place to jump straight into the water, and we always end up spending hours there, swimming, catching up, and enjoying the long summer evenings. It's one of my favorite places in the city during summer.

Best destination for summer

One of the best destinations for summer is some of the beaches around Cascais in Portugal. I just love everything about it: the rocks, the old aesthetics, and the atmosphere in general. I’ve spent so much time there and have many good memories.
