Wool

Wool is a natural fiber that brings warmth, softness and comfort to many PROJECT AJ117 styles. Its breathable qualities help regulate body temperature, making it suitable for both colder days and everyday wear.

We use wool across knitwear and seasonal layers, choosing it for its warmth, flexibility and ability to hold its shape.

Wool comes from sheep and is known for its natural insulation, breathability and durability. Different types of wool offer different qualities, from soft and lightweight to thicker and more structured.
Origin

Wool is collected by shearing sheep. The fibers are then cleaned, sorted and spun into yarn before being knitted or woven into fabric.

The softness and thickness of wool depend on the breed of sheep and how the fibers are processed. Fine wool feels softer against the skin, while thicker wool provides more structure and durability.
Properties

Temperature-regulating: Keeps you warm while allowing excess heat to escape.

Breathable: Helps manage moisture and keeps you comfortable.

Shape-retaining: Naturally elastic and able to hold its shape.

Odor-resistant: Naturally reduces the buildup of odors.

Biodegradable: A natural fiber that can break down over time under suitable condition.

Care

Wool needs gentle care to maintain its softness and shape.

Wash on a wool cycle at 30°C or hand wash, if permitted by the care label.

Use a mild detergent made for wool.

Avoid tumble drying.

Dry flat to maintain the garment's shape.

Avoid high heat and excessive movement during washing, as this can cause wool to shrink. Always follow the garment's care label.
